I didn’t ever think I would be writing about my love for art and exhibiting my paintings to the world.
My love for art started at a very young age………..it is still in me and always will be.
I was born in Jaffna, Northern Province, Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful island surrounded by the Indian Ocean covered in palm trees, coconut trees, mango trees and tea plantations.
Owing to the island’s Civil War I came to settle in Europe during the 1980’s. This traumatic uprooting together with the sadness of losing my father when I was young, has given me a strong belief in the value of life, while also recognising its fragility
I hope you find my paintings reflect some of this sensitivity just as I hope you will enjoy looking at them.

I have recently had the opportunity to develop my work and I have been lucky enough to be recognised by the Royal Academy in London. My painting ‘Waiting in the Moonlight was chosen for their 2021 Summer Exhibition
