I didn’t ever think I would be writing about my love for art and exhibiting my paintings to the world.
My artistic journey started in Jaffna, Sri Lanka where I earned a degree in art. More recently I have been developing my techniques, pursuing specialised studies in colour mixing and skin tones at London’s CityLit College.
Today my art focuses on portraiture and contemporary figures often defined by a bold, experimental approach to different medium.
Beyond my private commissions and local projects I am passionate about the healing power of art and lead impactful workshops at the MS Therapy Centre in Bedford.
As well as being recognised in my local community I reached a career milestone in 2021 when my work was featured in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The selected oil painting was so well received that it sold before the exhibition’s public opening.
Dedicated to both my personal practice and community engagement I remain inspired by the power of art to connect and heal.
